This 14 ft Merax Trampoline is specifically designed to accommodate either children or adults and sometimes even both. It has a large jumping area and safety enclosure net for added safety.

This model comes with almost everything you need upon purchase. It includes a basketball hoop and a ladder aside from the actual trampoline. It is colored bright green to truly stand out among your neighbors.

In the next sections, we will be going into detail on what makes this trampoline different from other popular brands like Skywalker and Giantex.

Weight Limit

The Merax Trampoline has a weight limitation of up to 330 lbs. With a weight capacity this large, it can easily accommodate 3 to 4 kids or even up to 2 adults.

The best way to determine how many people can jump on the trampoline at the same time is to just add up their individual weights.

If you’re looking to fit in more kid or wanted to have one with bigger weight limit, I recommend that you check the equivalent Giantex trampoline model.

Dimension

14 feet is the outside measurement of the frame. If you’re planning to set this up on a small backyard, you need to make sure that you add at least 1 foot of space between the wall and the edge of the trampoline. This is to make sure that nobody hits the wall when they end up hitting the enclosure net.

The actual jumping area is around 13 ft only. This is because the springs take up as much as 1 ft of space. It is still a lot of space to accommodate more than one person.

The overall height of the trampoline is around 9.5 feet, and this doesn’t even include the basketball hoop. The vertical clearance from the ground up to the jumping surface is around 4ft.

Compared to smaller versions, this 14ft Merax trampoline is something that your kids will not outgrow at all. Unless you have an unusually big indoor space to accommodate this trampoline, it is the best setup in the backyard or lawn only.

Frame

The entire frame is made of galvanized steel, which is rust resistant too. It is heavy duty enough to endure frequent use for up to more than a year. Each section of the frame is connected by a welded T-socket.

There are 6 legs which are made of the same material as the frame. They are W-shaped, similar to Skywalker’s, for added structural stability.

The jump mat is tight but loosens up a bit faster than other brands with frequent use. However, it doesn’t degrade the experience to a point where you can no longer use it.

There are 72 galvanized springs which connect the mat to the frame. The springs are covered with vinyl with some padding. Do not expect the spring cover to last long, though. It ends up torn and worn out after a few months of exposure to the sun.

This trampoline is not entirely affected by this flaw because of its design, which you will learn in the next section.

Design

The enclosure net that comes with every Merax trampoline is designed to separate the jumping mat from springs. So even if the spring cover ends up disintegrating, exposing the springs, the person jumping remains safe from hitting the springs.

However, there’s still a possibility of sliding past the enclosure net from underneath. If you’re worried about this, I recommend that you check Skywalker trampolines which completely eliminated gaps such as this.

Both the Merax 14ft and 12 ft round trampolines come in a single color scheme only, which is bright green. If you want to look different from everyone else, this model is a great choice. Don’t expect it to glow in the dark, though.

The enclosure net is not directly attached to the poles, which is a better design choice compared to Giantex trampolines. This means there are fewer chances of actually hitting the poles while jumping, even if they are all lightly-padded.

Additional Features

Other brands who manufacture trampolines with basketball hoops have soft rings and boards. Merax trampoline, on the other hand, comes with an actual board and ring installed. It is attached to one of the poles to make sure that the enclosure net is not compromised.

It does not include a basketball, though. You will have to purchase a standard-sized basketball separately.

Can you dunk the basketball? Yes, you can.

It has to be done gently, though. The supporting pole may be made of strong galvanized steel but it is not thick enough to take the force of slamming or even hanging.

Another great value that you get from this model is that it comes with a ladder. Something that you will need to purchase separately with other trampoline brands.

As I normally recommend with my other reviews, you will need to purchase wind stakes for your trampoline if you’re staying in a county where the wind can get strong. You wouldn’t want your trampoline to get blown away when not in use.

Setting Up

A Merax trampoline is delivered in 3 big boxes. Assembly instructions are included, but if you find it quite confusing, you can always check YouTube for an actual video.

The package also includes all the tools that you need to set up the trampoline, like the Phillips screwdriver head with an Allen wrench on the other end. However, if you have an electric screwdriver available at home, I would recommend that you use it instead.

It can normally take up to 2 hours to assemble the trampoline by 2 persons. If you have the rest of the family helping you out, it can be done in 1.5 hours only. Sometimes even just an hour.

The mesh screen or net is not attached to the jumping pad, so expect some effort and patience to get the enclosure up.

If you live in a place where the winter can be harsh, you will need to take trampoline down during the season.
